Stampin’ Up! has so many beautiful ribbons in the catalog. The ribbons are great quality and color coordinated to many of the card stocks. If you are like me, you want them all!
To help you achieve this, without breaking the bank, I am offering another round of Ribbon Clubs. These are one-time purchases of assorted colors of ribbons in 2 yard lengths. Each option can be purchased separately, just let me know which ones you would like.

Gettin’ Punchy – Punch Art Class
Sunday, September 7
1:00 to 5:00 p.m. – Open House Style

It’s time to create fun designs from punched out pieces! In this class, you will create 4 cards featuring a happy frog, whimsical purses, lovely flowers, and a fun surprise design.
This class is an Open House Style, meaning that projects will be set up at stations. It will take you 1 1/2 to 2 hours to complete your cards. You can arrive anytime between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.
Since I will be pre-punching most of the pieces that you will use for your cards, please register for the class by Wednesday, September 3.
Note that the photos are NOT the final projects. They are just to give you an idea of the punch art designs.

Enjoy a lasting taste of summer with these delightful notes! In this class, you will make 10 note cards (2 each of 5 designs) and a matching storage box. This is a great way to stay organized and have cards on hand for a quick note or thank you. Or, you will have a special gift all ready to give.
I am offering the same class both Saturday and Sunday. This class is an Open House Style, meaning that projects will be set up at stations. It will take you 2 1/2 to 3 hours to complete your cards and box. Please arrive between 1:00 and 2:30 p.m.
Based on the supplies that I need to order for this class, you need to Register and Prepay by Saturday, September 13. When registering, let me know which day you plan to attend. Since I don’t often require pre-payment, know that if you cannot attend, your class fee will be transfered to the next class or, applied to an order.

Since Stampin’ Up! launched the new 2008 Fall/Winter Idea Book & Catalog on Monday, their web sites have been SWAMPED! It is taking a long time to get the downloads I would like to share with you so please be patient. I will have much to post in the coming days!
If you have already received your copy of the new catalog, continue working on your wish lists! For those still waiting to see it, I do have a few more catalogs available now. Contact me to arrange to get your copy. Otherwise, I suggest waiting a couple of days to check out the SU! web site. It is too overloaded to get the information to download properly.

I have returned from another awesome Stampin’ Up! Convention!
I learned a bunch of new project ideas, got tons of swaps to share, and had lots of fun. I didn’t get much sleep for the past week and on Sunday, I came down with a bad cold. So, I’ve spent the past couple of days recuperating. As I sort through everything, I will begin sharing some of the many great ideas.
A huge thanks to my husband, Dave, who made sure that you got all the posts this past week that I had prepared for you. Are you getting excited to see the new catalog? It is awesome – great artwork in the stamp sets, beautiful samples, and fun new accessories. I hope you are saving up your pennies, and quarters, and dollars . . .

Big Announcement!
All the new stamp sets in the Fall/Winter Idea Book & Catalog will be die-cut, meaning the rubber will be precut around each image! This will make it even easier to mount your sets and be ready to stamp.
Any sets carried over from the previous catalog will still need to be trimmed before mounting. But all the sets introduced in the new catalog, including hostess sets, will be die-cut and ready to go!

One of the current trends in design is the silhouette. The Fresh Cuts stamp set was previewed during the special in June.

Today’s sneak peek from the 2008 Fall/Winter Idea Book & Catalog is a new tool, the Scallop Edge Punch. This is not replacing the Scallop Punch which makes a cool scallop circle. The Scallop Edge Punch creates scallop borders and frames.
Thanks to Mary Jo Albright for sharing these great examples of what this punch can do.

Say, do you recognize the background paper? How about the flower and leaves in the second card? They are both from the Bella Rose designer papers!
