Here is a wrap-up of the projects from the Gettin’ Punchy – Punch Art Class held on September 7.  Everyone had a good time turning the various shapes into these fun designs.

To make the handles, punch the small oval first, then the large oval around the opening.

Stamp Sets: Heard from the Heart
Card Stocks & Papers: Whisper White, Basic Black, Tangerine Tango, Haiku Designer Paper
Inks:  Basic Black
Punches: Round Tab, Small Oval, Large Oval, 3/4″ Square
Accessories: Paper Piercer & Mat, Gold Brads

All the pieces for the frog and lily pads have been sponged around the edge for added depth.

Stamp Sets: Fresh Cuts
Card Stocks: Whisper White, Basic Black, Pacific Point, Garden Green, Certainly Celery, Pink Passion
Inks & Marker:  Basic Black, Garden Green, Basic Black marker
Punches: Small Oval, Large Oval, 1 1/4″ Circle, 1/2″ Circle, 1/4″ Circle, Boho Blossoms (all three flowers)
Accessories: Sponge Dauber

The flowers are stamped then punched out.  For the skirt, punch a divet for the waist then cut slits on opposite side.  The shells were inspired by my husband’s suggestion that she needed coconuts.

Stamp Sets: Crab & Co, Itty Bitty Backgrounds, Hugs & Wishes, Eastern Blooms
Card Stocks: Basic Black, Blush Blossom, Yoyo Yellow, Glorious Green, Pink Passion, Brilliant Blue, Green Galore Creamy Caramel, Tempting Turquoise

Punches: 1 3/8″ Circle, 1 1/4″ Circle, 1″ Circle, Word Window, Trio Flower
Accessories: Handmade Cloud Stencil, Sponge

To get the angle on the scallop flower, cut scallop in half through the middle of the petal.  Then trim off the half petals, angling to the center.

Stamp Sets: Itty Bitty Backgrounds
Card Stocks: Only Orange, Summer Sun, Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, Ballet Blue (textured)
Inks:  Only Orange, Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss
Punches: Small Oval, 3/4″ Circle, Scallop
Accessories: Sponge Dauber

Online Ordering is open for business ~ 24/7

Now anytime day or night, even in your jammies, you can place an order from the Stampin’ Up! catalog!  Here’s how:

Go to my Stampin’ Up! web site and click on Shop Now (upper right corner).  This opens the Online Ordering window.  From the categories on the left of the screen, you can search for stamps and accessories to add to your shopping bag.  Click on Specials to see what’s on sale.

PRICING
When you access the Online Ordering window from my web site, near the top of the screen it will say “Your Demonstrator – Shannon Clemens.”  If it does not, there will be a link to select a demonstrator.  Through the Demonstrator Directory, you can enter my name and state to get a link to my website.

Without a demonstrator listed, the product prices are higher than what are printed in the catalogs, and the shipping fees are higher.  While the Online Ordering site is a great convenience for you, Stampin’ Up! wants to encourage your continued relationship with me, your demonstrator.  Therefore, “discounted pricing” is the same as the regular catalog price.  If you choose to completely bypass the demonstrator, you will pay the premier “regular” prices.

STAMPIN’ REWARDS
This is the same thing as Hostess Benefits.  Stampin’ Up! just gave them a new name since there no “hostess” for the online order.  If you place an order of at least $150, you can add free, exclusive hostess stamp sets, and have additional dollars to spend on free products.  You can see the various benefit levels on page 16 of the 2008 Fall/Winter Idea Book & Catalog.

TIPS
For accessories that are available in several colors (ink pads, ink refills, card stock, ribbons, etc), select the item from the general list.  On the new page, hover your cursor over the Color box.  It becomes a drop-down menu for selecting the colors you would like.

Only a few products, such as the Juntos Designer Paper from the Spanish-language catalog, are not currently available through the online site.  The Spanish-language stamp sets are listed under Stamps – En Espanol.

SHIPPING
Products purchased at the Online Ordering site are shipped directly to you.  Remember that even with normal catalog pricing, there is still the minimum shipping charge of $6.95.

FAQ
There is a link on the Online Ordering screen to a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) .pdf file that will open in a new window.  It includes many details about ordering and shipping through the Online Ordering site.

WORKSHOPS & CLUBS
All orders placed at the Online Ordering site are considered individual Customer Orders.  Therefore, they do NOT count towards a workshop or Stampers Club total.  If you cannot attend these events, continue to contact me directly with your order.

RESOURCES
The Online Ordering site is a great resource for looking up products and researching projects ideas.

The Specials section gives you details on the current sale items, with their discounted prices.

Under Browse Projects, you can select Cards, Scrapbook Pages, or Paper Crafting & Gifts.  Here you can find over 200 projects that are the samples shown in the current Idea Book & Catalog.  Click on a project for a full list of supplies needed to duplicate it. This section can give you a fresh look at the great samples featured in the catalog.

The Shop by Color section shows all the accessories for each of the 48 colors.  You can see which ones are available in Designer Series Paper and ribbons, as well as the basic ink, refills, and card stocks.  Very handy for completing wish lists.

PHONE, EMAIL, OR ONLINE??
Whether you need a lot or a just a few items, feel free to make your shopping list from the catalogs or the Online Ordering site, then contact me directly to place your order.  There are details for this and Online Ordering, along with downloadable files of catalogs and flyers, on the Ordering Page.

I would like to share the projects that I teach at the Stampers Club gathering.  While it was a little bit ago, I will start with the August Club projects.

This is a 5 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ card with a medium square envelope.  The featured technique is removing ink from the rubber with a blender pen and adding a different color with a marker.

Stamp Sets: Eastern Blooms, Heard from the Heart
Card Stocks:  Whisper White, Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red
Inks & Markers: Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa marker
Accessories: Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon, Blender Pen, Double Circle punch, Medium Square envelope

The card is 3″ x 6″ with a small open end envelope.  We achieved variation in the silhouette image by removing some ink from the rubber with a sponge dauber.

Stamp Sets: Inspired by Nature
Card Stocks: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss
Inks:  Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss, VersaMark
Accessories: Neutral Button (large Chocolate Chip), Linen Thread, Sponge Dauber, Key Tag punch, Mini Glue Dots, Small Open End envelope
